Lapalux makes his North American debut

- The lengthy autumn journey will take him throughout the US and Canada.
- Lapalux will start an extensive tour of North America in early September. UK-based producer Stuart Howard had his first official release (after 2008's DIY The Forest EP) on Pictures Music in 2011. He was snatched up by Flying Lotus' LA label Brainfeeder shortly after, and since then he's released two more EPs and a debut album, Nostalchic. That record offered up a dense but silky take on Brainfeeder-style hip-hop, with RA's Carlos Hawthorn describing Howard's approach to production as not "so much construct[ing] a beat as an entire ecosystem." The tour will be the first time Howard makes a trip across the Atlantic to play live. Traversing much of the continent, the campaign begins in NYC on September 4th and for its first leg it'll weave through the Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh plus dates in Atlanta, Miami and DC. Eastern Canada is up next, with gigs in Halifax, Montreal and Toronto, before he returns to the US to perform in Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, Denver and Austin. A second stop in Canada will take him to Vancouver and Calgary, preceding his appearance at our own showcase at this year's Decibel Festival in Seattle. For the tour's final leg Lapalux will go down the West Coast and then head back east, traveling through San Francisco, San Diego, LA, Boston and finishing up where he started in NYC.
