- The San Francisco promoter will hold its Treasure Island event in June, along with a party this weekend.
Sunset Sound System will hold their Sunset Island event on June 9th, along with a Memorial Day special this Sunday.
Every June since 2009, the San Francisco-based party takes over the manmade Treasure Island just north of the city for a day-long event that goes from noon until dusk. This year's bill is headed up by a live set from Detroit heavyweights Octave One, along with another live performance from Tevo Howard. Minneapolis techno selector DVS1 will spin, while San Francisco locals Galen, Solar and J-Bird are tasked with the opening duties. There will be art installations and performance art around the island as well as BBQ areas.
But before that goes down, Sunset will hold a Memorial Day long weekend party. Taking place this Sunday at Cafe Cocomo and starting in the afternoon, DJ Deep and Kyle Hall will headline. Galen, Solar and J-Bird are again billed for this one, along with three more Bay Area DJs: Deron Delgado, Tasho and Sweet P.
Tickets for Sunset Island are available on RA.
