Diamond Version embark on world tour

- Byetone and Alva Noto will take their project on the road this summer, playing shows in Cairo, Tokyo and Ibiza.
- Diamond Version have announced full details of their debut world tour. Best known for their work behind the scenes at German imprint Raster-Noton, Carsten Nicolai (Alva Noto) and Olaf Bender (Byetone) have been making music as Diamond Version since September last year. This summer the Mute Records-affiliates will take their brand of dark electronica on the road, kicking off the tour in Cairo on Thursday, May 16th, at Rawabet Theatre. The duo will support Depeche Mode on six European dates of their Delta Machine tour across the summer, commencing in Belgrade on May 19th. They will then travel to Japan to play shows at Taioclub festival in Nagano on June 1st, where they will be joined by visual artist Atsuhiro Ito, and Tokyo for a secret DJ set on June 3rd. Heading back to Europe for appearances at Serralves em Festa in Porto on June 8th and Sónar in Barcelona on the 14th, the pair will then rejoin Depeche Mode in Moscow on June 22nd and St Petersburg on the 24th. Malta Festival in Poznan on June 29th is next, followed by Frankfurt for Acht on July 5th and Ferropolis for Melt on July 19th, where they will play on the Modeselektor stage. A performance for Richie Hawtin's ENTER. night at Space in Ibiza on July 26th will precede two final shows supporting Depeche Mode in Vilnius on July 27th and Minsk on the 29th.
