  • Sonar has announced the cancellation of the Sao Paulo edition of their festival. Scheduled to take place on the 24th and 25th of May, the event would have been Sonar's second stint in Brazil's largest city. Pet Shop Boys, The Roots, Paul Kalkbrenner, Jamie Lidell and Theo Parrish were among the artists billed for appearances at the city's Anhembi Parque. The news was announced yesterday via Sonar Sao Paulo's Twitter and was followed by a statement, which vaguely cited "the latest difficulties and instabilities in the Brazilian entertainment market" as the reason behind the decision. Tickets for the event were yet to go on sale.
