- Omakase is due out on the Brazil-based producer's Tronic imprint next month.
Christian Smith will release his second album in April, entitled Omakase.
The globetrotting producer and DJ, who divides his time between Palma De Mallorca in Spain, and São Paolo, Brazil, has been dishing out funky, big-room techno since the mid-'90s. Omakase—the term translates from Japanese to "tasting menu" or "entrust"—is the follow-up to his 2010 full-length debut Director's Cut. Like that release, Omakase sees Smith focused on the dancefloor, and it will also come out through his own longstanding label Tronic, which recently went over the 100-release mark. The album will be made available on CD and digital as well as 2xLP vinyl.
