Gavin Russom's band will hit the road for shows in the US and Mexico.
Starting this week, The Crystal Ark will embark on a tour across North America.
The Crystal Ark is a project led by DFA producer Gavin Russom and singer Viva Ruiz, who put out their debut album late last year. As a live group, The Crystal Ark hits the stage with ten members in all, including two more vocalists and two dancers. The ensemble will take their raucous, percussion-heavy sound on the road for a slew of dates in Mexico and the US over the next few months, starting in Mexico City tonight. Gigs in San Francisco and Chicago feature on this first leg of the tour, and in April, The Crystal Ark will head east to support Hot Chip at shows in NYC and Washington DC. Finally, in May, the group is billed for Dangerbeats Festival back in Mexico City. Most of the shows will be live performances, with two DJ sets also confirmed along the way.
