  • London-based label Keysound Recordings will release an artist compilation called This Is How We Roll in March. The 14-track release opens with "New Wave," a three-way collaboration between Beneath, Visionist and Wen, with each producer also contributing a solo track. Label bosses Dusk + Blackdown also feature, as does LHF member Double Helix, plus a number of artists (Fresh Paul, E.m.m.a., Rabit and Moleskin) who will appear on Keysound for the first time. "This compilation is a new chapter for the Keysound family; reflecting a new wave of hungry, talented but under recognised producers building their own sounds," said label co-owner Martin Clark (AKA Blackdown). "There's light and shade, momentum and arrest, tenderness and anger, strangeness and familiarity—there's even a club banger whose drums run backwards. The only thing that unites it is a 130bpm heartbeat. I'm not sure where it's all come from or where it's all going but you can feel the sense of momentum building." For an idea of what to expect, you can listen to a radio rip of "New Wave" below.
