  • Marcellus Pittman will return to Australia for the second time to play three cities from New Year's Eve. Pittman has been a key figure in Detroit house music since the mid-'90s, having worked a great deal with a number of the Motor City's most legendary producers. A member of 3 Chairs, which also includes Moodymann, Theo Parrish and Rick Wilhite, Pittman also played keys in Parrish's Rotating Assembly outfit and worked in the studio with Parrish and Omar-S as the T.O.M. Project. In recent years he has become more prolific as a solo artist, with his debut LP Pieces being released back in August on his own Unirhythm imprint. After making his Australian debut mid-way through last year, Pittman will return to play a Boom Boom party on New Year's Eve in Sydney at an inner-city venue yet to be disclosed. From there, he heads to Melbourne on January 1st for an afternoon Animals Dancing gig at The Bridge, South Wharf, that also features psychedelic jocks Lovefingers and Psychemagik spinning alongside a host of the city's deep house regulars. Pittman will make his final appearance at Adelaide's Sugar on January 5th. Tickets to the Sydney and Melbourne shows can be purchased here on RA.
