  • Session Victim will make their debut appearance in North America this November. This continental premiere comes after a successful few years for the duo of Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling. Earlier in 2012 they released their debut album The Haunted House of House on the Delusions of Grandeur imprint, where they combined their healthy appetite for vintage hardware with their penchant for sampling and crate-digging. When the duo play out, they're known to alternate between an ambitious live arrangement and all-vinyl DJ sets. Those two sides of Session Victim are apparently very different experiences, and the duo discuss the dichotomy at length in their Breaking Through feature from 2010. The itinerary for their first transatlantic trip is a mixture of those live and DJ sets. Beginning in New York City on November 2nd, they'll headline a Let's Play House party at Cielo with their live setup, and then they'll do the same at San Francisco at Public Works the following evening. After a few days' break the duo will perform two DJ sets: one at Office Bar in San Diego, and the other at A Club Called Rhonda in LA. Their journey will end with the only Canadian date on November 10, when they play live once again at The Drake Hotel. Tickets for the NYC date are available on RA.
