  • Shine will celebrate its 17th anniversary in Belfast on October 27th. The nightclub opened up in the Northern Irish capital all the way back in 1995, housed inside the Queen's University student union building. Over the years, influential DJs like Phil Kieran and Annie Mac have worked or had DJ residencies at the dance music hotspot. Still going strong to this day, with a number of clubnights focusing on all sorts of genres, Shine has grown into the larger promotions company Shine Productions with several additional nightclubs and venues under its umbrella. The original club's 17th birthday party will feature progressive house legend and Bedrock founder John Digweed at the top of the bill, along with one of Bristol's biggest house music stars in Julio Bashmore. Belfast techno duo Psycatron will also make an appearance, plus fellow Irishman and synth funkateer Space Dimension Controller. The night's local support will come from Ryan Dallas, Andy Johnston, Conor Mac Parland and Kristian Woods.
