- The French producer's second album is due in October on rx:tx.
Fulgeance will release Step Thru, his second album, this October on rx:tx.
Mixing hip-hop tempos with dubstep's low-end and a thoroughly digital sound palate, the French producer born Pierre Troel, caught the ears of DJs like Gilles Peterson and Mary Anne Hobbs with his initial run of singles on Musique Large, One-Handed Music and All City. After releasing his first album, To All Of You, last year on Cologne's Melting Pot Music, Fulgeance makes the move to rx:tx, a Slovenian label that's recently shifted its focus from mostly Eastern European experimental producers to the sort of hip-hop and bass music Fulgeance trades in. Brooklyn's Fresh Daily and Greece's MC Yinka both contribute verses, and the album closes with a remix of the title track by likeminded veteran Kelpe.
