  • Todd Terry is set to play gigs in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne this weekend. Since the 1980s, Terry has made a lasting and ongoing impression on the dance music world. His early discography, which includes releases on Strictly Rhythm and his own Freeze Records imprint, illustrates his pioneering work with sampling in house music, a legacy which has been cemented by tracks like "Something Goin' On" and "Keep On Jumpin'." Having transitioned from underground house innovator to Grammy award winning producer for a number of pop acts, Terry has remained a highly respected figure in the electronic music scene as he keeps up a consistent DJ schedule which sees him continue to travel around the world playing the sounds he helped develop. His Australian tour begins on September 6th at Garage in Adelaide, where he will be supported by local veteran DJ HMC. The following night Terry spins at Sydney's Goldfish alongside an extensive lineup that includes Illya, Phil Hudson and Johnny Gleeson, with his final stop being New Guernica in Melbourne on September 8th where he will be joined by Phil K and Otologic. Tickets to the Sydney show can be purchased here on RA.
