  • Alex Bau will visit Australia for the first time to play three gigs in early September. Since starting his Toneman imprint back in 2000, Bau has been a regular contributor to the techno scene as a producer, DJ and label manager. While his early studio work on labels like CLR and Default Recordings immediately earned him recognition, he has become increasingly prolific over his career, releasing his third album and a dozen 12-inches in the time since 2010, particularly on his Credo imprint which exclusively houses his own productions. On the road he remains a highly regarded DJ, with tours taking him everywhere from Russia to Argentina so far this year. Despite being a well-travelled artist, next month will mark his Australian debut, which begins on September 7th at Sydney's Gladstone Hotel for a Swarm party with locals Andrew Wowk, Martin Stace and Oliver Gurney in support. The following evening he heads to Brisbane where Lets Get Minimal will host the show at Coniston Lane, with the final set happening on September 9th at Melbourne's Lounge with PWD and Dave Pham on the hometown lineup. Tickets to the Sydney and Brisbane shows are available here on RA.
