  • Max Cooper will embark on a North American tour called Conditions in September and October. The UK-based artist makes a glitchy but heavily melodic sort of techno, including last year's Empirich EP, which an RA review called "2011-but-still-doing-prog-right." He's released primarily through Cologne label Traum Schallplatten with a prolific schedule totalling over 50 releases in five years (including remixes). This extensive library of productions makes up his live set, which he'll bring to North American shores for the fourth time this September. The tour begins on September 14th in Canada with two dates in Calgary and Vancouver, before heading across the border for a US stretch that includes Cooper's debuts in Boston, Chicago, Portland, Los Angeles and Denver. He'll make other stops in Seattle for Decibel Festival and San Francisco for Public Works' two-year anniversary party, before the tour wraps up in Denver on October 6th. There's also a stopover in Mexico City (a debut as well), taking place at Hookah Satélite on September 28th, while the Portland date is part of our RA Horizons series of events.
