  • Levon Vincent and Fred P will play an Acid Crew night at The Block in Tel Aviv on Thursday, August 2nd. Whenever these two are on the decks, you can expect reams of textural and atmospheric beats that fall somewhere between deep house and techno. But music isn't the only thing that makes this party interesting. There's an explicitly political side to it as well: the event aims to play some small part in bridging the gap between Israelis and Palestinians by bringing them together on one dance floor. "The most important fact I want you to know is that Israelis and Palestinians DON'T party together, DON'T work together and don't really try to connect and communicate with each other, so we want to change this very awkward situation," say the promoters. The goal is to create "a totally new experience of Arabs and Jews dancing together to the heavenly sound of Levon Vincent and Fred P." The party will run from 11:30 PM until 7:00 AM. Local DJ Yogo is the only other name on the bill.
