Marcel Dettmann brings MDR to Paris

- Berlin techno luminary Marcel Dettmann will headline an MDR label party in Paris on September 7th. Short for Marcel Dettman Recordings, MDR was founded by Dettmann as a vinyl-only outlet for his own music in 2006. Since since then he's also released records by fellow Berghain resident Norman Nodge and mysterious Berliner Wincent Kunth (billed simply as Wincent here). The label peddles a dark, sparse brand of techno representing the more extreme end of Dettmann and Nodge's output (as seen on other labels like Ostgut-Ton), and has been the only outlet for Kunth's stripped-back original productions thus far. The label party will take place at Showcase in Paris, featuring all three MDR artists as the sole performers for the night.
