  • The first edition of Electric Daisy Carnival New York will take place over three days next weekend. The festival is Insomniac's first EDC event in the tri-state area, and it will hold court at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey with local support from Pacha New York. Some of the biggest names in dance music will play across the festival's four stages, including huge names like Armin van Buuren, ATB, Markus Schulz, Afrojack, Avicii and Fatboy Slim. Drum 'n' bass veterans Goldie and Dieselboy will be on hand as well. There's also plenty of house and techno to be had. On Saturday, Carl Cox will oversee the Neon Garden stage with help from John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Seth Troxler and Cassy, among others. Highlights for the Sunday session at that stage include Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Hot Natured and Visionquest. In true EDC fashion, there will also be an endless array of theatrical performances, interactive art displays and amusement rides scattered across the festival grounds throughout the weekend.
