- The Montreal-based producer will release her debut album on Archipel in April.
Stefny Winter will release her first full-length on Archipel, entitled Wind Walker.
Born and raised in California and cutting her teeth DJing in New York through the '00s, Winter now lives in Montreal—the city where Pheek's Archipel is based. The label has released a wide range of styles, including deep house from Vakula and ambient material from Jesse Somfay. Winter has already had a couple of EPs on Archipel which veer closer towards minimal tech house, but while Wind Walker remains focused on the dance floor, throughout the LP there are passages of subtle atmospheres and musical elements that are a distinct contrast to her previous stripped back and minimal productions.
