  • Philip Bader will release his first solo full-length, Wishful Thinking, this April on Highgrade Records. Bader has been producing melodic tech house records since 2005, and has appeared on labels like Oliver Koletzki's Stil vor Talent and Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records. Alongside Highgrade bosses Tom Clark and Todd Bodine, Bader is also part of the five-piece live performance collective Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra, which released their debut album, Multilayer, last year. Like much of the Highgrade catalog—including Bader's only solo 12-inch on the imprint—many of the tracks on Wishful Thinking keep to a conventional tech house template, though guest vocalist Spoony Talker adds more of a house touch to the track "Move On Me." Bader also works with two female vocalists, Ja Hier and jazz singer Anna Luca, who appear separately on three of the LP's more downtempo productions. Tracklist 01. Whisper 02. Surfing Sabine 03.
