  • Aril Brikha will play live in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Sydney over two weekends from March 9th. Though he's lived in Sweden for most of his life, Brikha's musical work has perhaps been most strongly associated with Detroit ever since his Deeparture In Time LP was released on Derrick May's Transmat imprint in 1999. His music came out on several high-profile labels in the decade that followed, including Poker Flat, Peacefrog and Kompakt, before Brikha started up his own imprint, Art of Vengeance. With the first order of business being a comprehensive re-release of his debut album, including a bonus disc of unreleased material recorded around the same time as well as a 12-inch of brand new remixes, the label has subsequently put out two new singles of Brikha's with more on the way. Brikha's Australian tour will begin in Melbourne on the 9th of March with a Chameleon Recordings party at the Royal Melbourne Hotel. Steve Ward, Uone and Dean Benson are among the local talent also on the bill. His Brisbane appearance the following evening will be at Bar Soma, then he'll head to The Clubhouse in Canberra on Sunday the 11th. Brikha's final performance will be in Sydney on March 17th at One22 with Robbie Lowe, DarkChild and Dave Stuart in support. Tickets for the Sydney show can be purchased here on RA.
