  • Later this month, Beef Records will throw parties in Sydney and Melbourne to celebrate their 6th birthday and to launch Shades of Gray's debut album, Soul Machine. In the six years since it's been around, Beef Records has amassed more than 50 releases, most of which fall somewhere between deep house and tech house. Their roster includes both local and international talent, with releases from artists like The Timewriter, Deepchild, Trinity and Uone. The founders of Beef Records, DJ and production duo Shades of Gray, released their first full-length offering in December of last year and have since developed a new live show, which they'll debut at these two parties. The Melbourne show will be held first on February 17th at Brown Alley with Mic Newman and Tom Lally, while the Sydney gig will happen at The Spice Cellar on the 25th and will feature RifRaf and Murat Kilic on the decks. In both cities Shades of Gray will be supported by label mates Uone and JML. Both parties kick off at 10:00PM. Tickets to the Melbourne gig are available here on RA.
