  • Berlin-based outfits Ostgut Ton and Sub:stance will meet at an undisclosed east London location on Thursday 5th April. The link between the two dates back to July 2008 when Paul Rose (AKA Scuba) and Paul Fowler threw their first party at Berghain. As one of Berlin's first dubstep-focused events, Sub:stance paved the way for many UK acts to receive their debut bookings in the city. This relationship has continued up to the present day, with a pair of Sub:stance parties lined up to take place at the venue in 2012. Ostgut have been staging regular London label showcases over the past couple of years, although the party on Thursday, April 5th (the evening before Good Friday) will represent Sub:stance's first such event in the UK capital. Mainstays from both camps will be representing on the night. Sub:stance have lined up Scuba, Shackleton and Kuedo, while Ostgut will roll with Ben Klock, Ryan Elliott and Tama Sumo. Expect the usual high grade house, techno and bass music. And for those in Leeds this weekend, Sub:stance will team up with Modern Amusement for the second time at Vox. The lineup for this one boasts Scuba, Shackleton (live), Boddika, Sepalcure (live) and George FitzGerald. Tickets for Ostgut Ton X Sub:stance and Modern Amusement Presents Sub:stance are currently available from RA Tickets.
