  • English artist Kirk Degiorgio will play gigs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney while in Australia starting later this month. Degiorgio's career spans nearly two decades and a dozen original albums. He's responsible for releasing early material by some of electronic music's greats, including Carl Craig and Aphex Twin, on his label ART Records. His own output has remained steady over the years, and he's already released a 12-inch in 2012, Divine Logic, on Amsterdam's Rush Hour Recordings. His Machine party series, co-organised with Ben Sims in London, has been running since February last year and has hosted respected artists like Surgeon, Kevin Saunderson and DJ Rolando. Degiorgio's Australian tour will begin on February 24th in Melbourne at the Buffalo Club. The lineup also includes disco veteran Greg Wilson, Lewie Day AKA Tornado Wallace and Haul Music performing a live set. The following night in Brisbane will be hosted by Metric at Bar Soma with local DJs Adam Swain and Wadza in support. Degiorgio will appear at Playground Weekender on March 3rd amongst a wide range of artists, including Chic & Nile Rodgers, Damian Lazarus and Art Department, before heading down to play One22 in Sydney on March 10th. Tickets to the Brisbane show are available here on RA.
