Virgo Four to play Melbourne this weekend

- The Trax duo from Chicago will be playing at Buffalo Club this Friday night.
- Chicago house pioneers Virgo (AKA Virgo Four) will play at The Buffalo Club this Friday, December 9th. 2010 sparked a sudden increase in popularity for Virgo, thanks to Rush Hour's reissue of their 1989 self-titled debut album. Since then, there have been several records and compilations filled with unreleased originals and new remixes which have brought Virgo Four back into the spotlight. Resurrection, released back in March of this year, collates a wealth of previously unheard material produced between 1984 and 1990, contributing a total of 30 new tracks to their catalogue. Their touring schedule has increased significantly as a result of this second wind, and this will be their second trip out to Australia in 2011. They will also appear at the sold out Meredith Festival on December 10th. The show is being jointly hosted by techno blog mnml ssgs and Melbourne-based label Two Bright Lakes. Support will be provided by Sydney's Magda Bytnerowicz, and locals Noise In My Head and Two Bright Lakes DJs. The music begins in The Buffalo Club at 8:30 PM.
