The Field tours North America

- The Swedish artist begins a tour of the US and Canada this week.
- In support of his new album, Axel Willner, AKA The Field, will go on tour across North America beginning on Thursday in Chicago. The tour will feature Willner and his band mates Dan Enqvist and Jesper Skarin, both of whom helped produce Looping State of Mind. That album, the third by The Field, was released this month on the project's home label, Kompakt, and praised by RA's Derek Miller as the artist's "most diverse and satisfying statement to date." The trip begins this weekend in the Midwest with stops in Chicago and Detroit. The Field will then go to Toronto (where they'll share the bill with Juan Maclean and Blondes) and Montreal before taking over the East Coast for four gigs, including a set at Moogfest in Asheville, North Carolina. Two nights in California lead to the Pacific Northwest, where The Field will wind down the tour in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver.
