  • The Warehouse, Leeds officially reopens on September 10th. The club became a legendary rave venue in the '80s and '90s, hosting the likes of Sasha, Greg Wilson, LFO and Mike Pickering as well as bands Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Sugar Hill Gang. After its closure in 2007, The Warehouse has hosted a few parties this summer and next month the club is back full-time with a total refurb—a Funktion One system, lighting, lasers and CO2 jets have been installed alongside renovated dance levels, the restoration of room two and a host of new facilities from lounge bed chill-out areas to air conditioning. The capacity has also been inflated to 750 and the venue's new licence will allow it to open until 8 AM. The Warehouse will be home to a series of regular nights with the focus on house, electro, techno, dubstep and drum & bass throughout. Butch, Martinez and Uner lead the field on the first night which is set to be presented by house and techno favourite Filth. Coloursound takes over the following week with a launch party combining established and up-and-coming talent; Detroit's Stacey Pullen and German duo Tiefschwarz have top billing with support from Hot Creations' Russ Yallop and Richie Ahmed, and deep house Londoner Huxley. Pete Jordan's London drum & bass night Spectrum, and the launch of Sequence complete the first month.
