  • Sheffield-based producer Tom Bell, better known as Toddla T, will release his next album in August. Things have moved pretty fast for Tom Bell over the last few years. Riding on the success of his Ghettoblaster mixtape, he released his first album and solo EPs through 1965 records, a subsidiary of Sony. Since then he's mixed an edition of Fabriclive, been tapped for a regular show on BBC 1 and signed with UK bass establishment Ninja Tune, who will be releasing his new LP. Stylistically, he's known for his high energy blend of dancehall, grime, drum & bass and house, but says that his new LP offers something a bit different from his usual fare. "I've been busiest in the last two years as a DJ, so of course this album has a big dose of the sounds and production techniques that I'm out there representing in the clubs every weekend, but if you're looking for tops-off jungle or 4/4 bassline tear-outs you won't find them here. This is definitely still a record for clubbers, but it's the one they'll listen to at home with their mates or every day on the way to work." Bell produced Watch Me Dance with a cast of guest artists, including Skream and past collaborators Ms Dynamite and Roots Manuva. Tracklist 01. Watch Me Dance (with Roots Manuva) 02. Take It Back 03. Cruise Control 04. Cherry Picking 05. Streets So Warm 06. Badman Flu 07. Body Good 08. How Beautiful It Would Be 09. Lovely Girl 10. Do It Your Way 11. Fly Ninja Tune will release Watch Me Dance on August 22nd, 2011.
