Marek Hemmann and Fabian Reichelt release their first album as Marian through Freude Am Tanzen next month.
Hemmann has been developing his housy, occasionally melancholic style for the better part of twenty years, both as a solo artist and with Mathias Kaden (as Hemmann & Kaden). In 2010, he teamed up with Reichelt to produce the Left/Right EP, infusing his club-ready sound with more pop-friendly sensibilities, thanks mostly to Reichelt's singing. Loaded with cellos, jazz organs and intimate vocals as well as electronic beats, Only Our Hearts To Lose continues to blur the line between electronic production and classic song writing. The album features mostly unreleased productions, plus a new version of "Left," which first appeared on the Left / Right EP.
