  • Steve Mac goes back to his Roots image
  • Next month, Saved Records will release a new album by Steve Mac called Roots. Mac has a rich history with house music that stretches back to the mid-'90s, when he and Rob Chetcuti started working together as Rhythm Masters. With Dis-Funktional Recordings, he put out records by heavyweights like Danny Tenaglia and Junior Sanchez. By now he has dozens of solo productions under his belt, including remixes for everyone from Todd Terry to Jamiroquai. Roots shows Mac staying true to the style that's always served him well: massive-sounding, peak time house. The double disc album features mostly new productions from the Brighton-based producer, plus some of his singles from the past few years, such as "Noise Bastard" and "Hear That." Guest appearances come from Mark Broom and Saved Records founder Nic Fanciulli. Tracklist CD1 01. Waiting (No Drums) 02. Leave Me Behind 03. Biscuits 04. Moosique 05. Give It To Me feat.
