  • Drumcell, Audio Injection and Raiz will bring the sound of Droid Recordings to Europe this month, starting with a party this Friday in Athens. As event promoters, the Droid crew has long been a cornerstone of LA's party scene, hosting some of the biggest names in international techno. With the inception of Droid Recordings in 2003 (co-founded by Drumcell), the producers' atmospheric take on minimal techno has attracted attention from beyond southern California. While all three artists have performed overseas before, this marks the label's first collective appearance in Europe, though the three artists will take separate paths across the continent. In total, 11 events are planned over the next month, with Drumcell and Audio Injection starting things off at Sholi Kalon Tehnon in Athens before making a joint return to Berghain in Berlin, playing alongside Ben Sims and Ben Klock. Audio Injection will also play sets at Loop38 in Zurich and at the Eat Your Brains Weekender in the UK, but Germany will get most of the Droid love, with eight separate events planned, including Drumcell's appearance at Chris Liebing's CLR Easter Special at Dusseldorf's Butan Club. Saturday May 7th will see Raiz make their Berghain debut, before the duo concludes the tour at Hotel Shanghai in Essen the following weekend.
