- The Dutch producer will release his sophomore album in March on Black Hole Recordings and Magik Muzik.
Richard Durand's second LP, Wide Awake, is due in March.
Having spent the latter half of last year holed up in his studio, Durand is finally ready to unveil his latest creation. The trance superstar was especially cautious of repeating himself. He explains: "When I started this album, I knew that it wouldn't be Always the Sun part two–I didn't feel there'd be any sense in covering exactly the same ground again. I wanted each successive track I produced to have a different feel and tone than the last. This method has led to a long-player I'm extremely happy and proud of. Now, more than anything, I'm looking forward to taking the music into the clubs and seeing the crowds' reactions to it!"
The results speak for themselves. The 16-track album is cross-polinated with a range of club-oriented styles, and infused with the vocals of Christian Burns, JES and Kash.
