- The Sydney label will take over the Social Club every Sunday from 3 PM.
Sydney disco imprint Death Strobe Records will be spinning every Sunday at the Hunky Dory Social Club.
Death Strobe, founded a little over a year ago, is one of the very few Sydney-based labels currently pressing vinyl. Though their catalogue in only two releases deep, Erol Alkan has already enlisted himseld as a fan, having given a track from Death Strobe's second release––Midnight Savari's "Rimshots"––a regular rinse over December and January. The Hunky Dory Social Club will be hosting the label's Andy Webb and the rest of the Death Strobe DJs, along with a rotating cast of guest DJs every week from 3 PM. As far as the party's music policy goes, you can likely expect everything from nu disco, Italo and vintage rock to get a spin on the club's 1200s.
