Roman Tapia makes US debut

- The Belgium-based tech house artist will play a one-off date tonight in New York.
- DJ and producer Ramon Tapia will play his first ever US gig tonight at Cielo in New York. Tapia has spent most of the last decade putting out records on a wide variety of labels, including the Munich-based imprint Great Stuff Recordings, and more recently the venerable New York house establishment Strictly Rhythm. Through it all, he's developed a keen understanding of what works on the dance floor, as indicated by his #12 rank in RA's most-charted artists list. Expect the Belgium-based artist to give Cielo's Funktion 1 a thorough work out. This stateside debut is presented by Area Event, whose recent parties (with Marco Carola, Deadmau5, and Tiesto among others) show off the outfit's own wide-ranging tastes.
