Bremen and Hamburg-based label Confused Recordings will mark their 15th anniversary this week the release of a new digital compilation.
15 Years Confused Recordings surveys the catalog of one of Germany's longest running techno labels. Established in 1995 by Jan Langer and Oliver Huntemann, Confused has put out dozens of records from artists like Motion Unit and Thomas Schumacher's Elektrochemie LK, and more recently Martin Eyerer and Marco Bailey. The extensive 30-track compilation pays homage to the label's roots, beginning with Motion Unit's "Back 2 d'basics", the first record released by the label. Producers like Steve Bug, Gui Boratto, and Koen Groeneveld provide a few remixes, and Hamburg-based DJ Hatzler contributes a special birthday mix to go with the package. The collection will be available this Friday exclusively as a digital download.
