- The UK label's latest compilation takes stock of its current roster.
Planet Mu has put together a new 14-track label compilation, simply entitled 14 Tracks from Planet Mu.
The collection will provide a snapshot of where Planet Mu is at right now, focusing mostly on tracks from the past two years. Many of the label's latest additions are featured, including Oriol, The Internal Tulips and the Irish duo Solar Bears, all of whom released their debut albums on the label in 2010. As for longtime stalwarts, bass specialists Ikonika, FaltyDL and Floating Points each make an appearance. Most of the tracks are previously unreleased, though a few new tunes are thrown in there as well, including one from Boxcutter's next album, slated for release sometime this year. The collection will be available digitally and on CD at the end of this month.
