  • Mathew Jonson and his Cobblestone Jazz project will be stepping into Revolver this Friday for a rare Melbourne appearance. Jonson has spent the much of the last decade building up a reputation as one of the most innovative artists working under the minimal umbrella. As a co-founder of Wagon Repair, Jonson has overseen the release of a variety of successful house and techno records, while his work as a part of the Cobblestone Jazz (alongside Danuel Tate and Tyger Dhula) has pushed the boundaries of live electronic performance, both on record and on stage. The Cobblestone Jazz trio will be showcasing that live performance this weekend at Revolver, and Jonson will also deliver a live act of his own. For an idea of what to expect from Jonson solo, check out his recent RA Podcast, recorded live at last year's Labyrinth festival in Tokyo.
