Bar Sartea's annual house and techno series kicks off early next week.
The seventh annual Jazz Not Dead festival begins next week, with eight weekly parties lined up through March.
Though it calls itself a festival, Jazz Not Dead is a pretty intimate affair; housed in Vicenza's Bar Sartea, the parties are free, feature all underground DJs and wrap up by 2 AM. Past events have hosted the likes of Tama Sumo, Prosumer and Move D, but this year's festival is more focused on Italian talent. The series kicks off with Analoague Cops, AKA Lucretio and Marieu, the two DJs behind underground imprint Restoration Records. Other highlights include Claudio Fabrianesi, a young artist who debuted last year with a collaboration with Donato Dozzy, Sistrum and Uzuri artist Ksoul, and Metro Area member Darshan Jesrani. Each event will feature warm up sets from local stalwart Dax DJ. As in previous years, entrance to all the parties is free.
