The sleazy disco duo's next LP is due out this May on Codek Records.
The next album by In Flagranti is called Worse For Wear and is due for release this May.
Sasa Crnobrnja and Alex Gloor have made a career out of seedy, left-field disco, which in the past has been inspired by hookers, porn and the like. Worse For Wear ditches the smutty aesthetic a bit, turning this time to the grimy atmosphere of pre-Giuliani New York. "I like things to be old and run-down," says Goor. "So I let myself be inspired by one of my favorite places to spend time: 1970s/80s New York City."
Crnobrnja and Goor have hardly ever worked in the same studio (they're based in London and Basil respectively), and Worse for Wear is no exception. It consists of all new tracks, though unused bits of old material (especially vocals) feature heavily. "Flea markets and recycling parts of our production are really at the center of this album," says Crnobrnja. The record will see release through the duo's own label, Codek Records. The trailer below should give you a feel for the overall style and concept.
