  • Toronto's Wrongbar will play host to popular disco/pop producer Aeroplane, AKA Vito De Luca, next Wednesday, July 15th. It's been a strange few months for Aeroplane. Minor details regarding the then duo's debut album, We Can't Fly, surfaced in the middle May this year only for an announcement to follow a month later that the Belgium twosome of Vito De Luca and Stephen Fasano had split. Luckily for Aeroplane fans it was said that De Luca would soldier on under the name regardless, with the full admission that he'd "been responsible for most of the music and the studio work" recently. In any case, the album will be hitting stores through Wall of Sound in early September. And if the promotional copies of the LP are to be heeded, We Can't Fly will signal a departure from Aeroplane's more floor friendly productions, and in turn will be far removed from the party and electro-tinged sound of their DJ sets. De Luca will take to the Wrongbar decks on Wednesday, July 15th, providing an interesting opportunity for Toronto residents to see how the split has effected the Aeroplane live sound. If at all.
