  • New Sydney club night DownUnder is set to launch with a doubleheader over the upcoming ANZAC Day long weekend. The party, promoted by some of the crew responsible for the Top Notch terrace parties, will host parties at both Ladylux and Civic Underground. Young British techno duo Spektre, who recently announced the release details of their debut full-length, will headline DownUnder's launch with a live set, which will go down at LadyLux. Along with their production efforts, the Sheffield-based duo also manage the Respekt Recordings imprint, a label that has hosted a range of melodic techno and bumpy tech house releases. Local support on the night will be provided by Defined By Rhythm, Claire Morgan and Jay Smalls. The following Sunday will see DownUnder host a deeper tech sound, with Poker Flat associate Burnski set to spin at the Civic Underground. Spice resident Murat Kilic will lead the support cast, with Robbie Lowe and Carlos Zarate in tow. Advance tickets to DownUnder's launch with Spektre are available through RA Tickets.
