  • French DJ and producer Seuil will release his first full-length, Chamaeleonidae, later this spring. Since 2006, Seuil has gained a reputation for his punchy minimal house tracks, especially "Double Room" from 2008 and "Freak n' Violence" from last year on Freak n' Chic. His style is usually quite discrete, with an emphasis on groove and timbre instead of hooks and melodies, but Chamaeleonidae shows him drawing up much sunnier arrangements, complete with vocals, flutes and horns to complement his meticulously EQd bass kicks. The album will see release on Welcome to Masomenos, the boutique label run by French tech-house duo Joan Costes and Adrien de Maublanc (AKA Masomenos). It will be WTM's first release by an artist other than the titular duo, and as with the label's previous albums, will at first be available only in mixed form, with an unmixed version to follow in the summer.
