  • Levon Vincent will go on his most extensive jaunt of Europe so far in the coming months. The New Yorker has been active in the city's house and techno scene since the early '90s, but it hasn't been until the last couple of years that he's been recognised as a real production force, with both his "Six Figures" and "Late Night Jam" tracks featuring in our top 50 tracks of 2009. After a difficult time running his More Music label in the first half of the '00s, Vincent decided to start afresh with the Novel Sound imprint (with many of the More Music releases ending up being melted down to be used for the Novel releases), using it to showcase his new style of raw and dance floor-focused house. Having already made a few trips across the Atlantic, Vincent will now embark on a proper European tour, kicking off at Paris' Rex Club with Panorama Bar resident Tama Sumo on Thursday 21st January. The Berlin club will be his destination the following evening for its reopening party following its renovation, where he'll take to the decks alongside Sumo, Jus-Ed and DJ Qu for an Underground Quality label showcase, but he won't be able to stay in the city long, as he'll have to head to Warsaw's Tomba Tomba club on the Saturday night. After a two week rest, Vincent will then start the second leg of dates, taking in Ghent and Zurich before heading to London's fabric club for a main room set at Craig Richards' The Nothing Special party, where he'll be joined by Move D and Jonah Sharp's Reagenz project and Dial boss Lawrence, both of whom will perform live. Vicenza will be Levon's last stop in Europe on Tuesday 16th February, and Italian punters heading out to party in the midweek will be treated to a free show in the intimate surroundings of the 200-capacity Bar Sartea club, which is being held as part of the Jazz Not Dead festival.
