Stubnitz cancels ADE parties

- Floating Amsterdam venue Stubnitz has been forced to cancel its scheduled ADE events. After discussions between the Amsterdam-Noord district council, the police and promoters, a decision was reached that the venue—an 80 metre long German fishing trawler—would not be granted a permit for upcoming parties. A strict one-time license was apparently granted late last month, but the authorities lost confidence in the proposals thanks in part to the local police's assertion that drugs were being openly handled at the venue last year. The first casualty of the order—Bla Bla, Mobilee and Deep Vibe's triple header featuring Daniel Sanchez among others—has shifted the action to Studio 80, albeit on the less-than-ideal date of Tuesday 20th October (a day before ADE begins) and minus Mobilee and Deep Vibes, who have decided to pull out altogether. Meanwhile, the Westcoast Sound of Holland party which lines up Legowelt, Alexander Robotnick and I-F on the bill, will now take place in the brand new Rabozaal, a variable 500 to 1400 capacity hall which forms part of wider Melkweg centre. There has also been a shift in date from Friday 23rd to Saturday 24th October.
