  • London's Magic and Medicine crew will launch their new Diz-Go-Trek venture next month with a disco-tinged extravaganza at The Scala. A Mountain of One will take the headlining spot for the bash on Saturday 7th of November, appearing in their full band incarnation to bash out their heartfelt Balearic compositions. Mike Simonetti's Italians Do It Better imprint will also host a mini-showcase in the main room, with Johnny Jewel set to play two live sets with both of his groups. Label stalwarts Glass Candy will mix up new-wave, italo and disco in a delightfully dark manner, while relative newcomers Desire will offer up all sorts of dreamy and infectious avant-pop. Dissident boss Andy Blake is a difficult man to pigeonhole, but it's likely that his DJ set will include at least some EBM, Belgian new beat or acid house, while the second room will host Bad Passion Project, Durr resident The Lovely Jonjo, and the promise of some very special guests that have yet to be announced. Early bird tickets are currently available from RA Tickets for the bargain price of £9.
