- The Berlin producer will release his debut LP in October.
Marcel Knopf is gearing up for an October release of his debut LP Dusty Dance.
A relationship that began back in 2003 will be the basis for Berlin producer Marcel Knopf's debut artist album Dusty Dance. It was in that year Knopf first hooked up with German minimal house imprint Mo's Ferry Prod. for the "Holpergeist" single, before going on to release his 2006 mix CD effort Bits To Phono Mix.
"Dusty Kid"-the album's title track which was released back in July this year-saw the reinstatement of the pair's working relationship, and paved the way for the upcoming full-blown album release this October. And what to expect from this musical re-acquaintance? "This work presents a perfect production design as well as unexpected caprices and obtains a genre-overlapping consciousness, that definitely stands for the self-confident idiosyncratic statement: 'You can't quarrel about musical taste - you just have it or not!'"
