- The progressive duo have stepped up to the decks for the fourth in the series.
Spooky, AKA Charlie May & Duncan Forbes, will enter into the mix arena for the latest edition in the Tales of the Unexpected series.
It's the fourth volume from the Platipus label, following on from efforts by Art of Trance, Simon Barry and Hardfloor. Like the last two in that list, Spooky have taken the progressive route, utilizing tunes from the likes of Oxia, Itamar Sagi and Josh Wink to take listeners on a journey. It should be no surprise, though. May is, of course, well known for his work with Sasha, while Forbes has spent time in the trenches with Laurent Webb.
As always, the set is spread out over two discs, with the first representing the more energetic side of the duo, and the second going a bit deeper. Both are accomplished technicians, so expect plenty of studio wizardry to be heard on the tracks here, ensuring that even if you've heard some of these tunes, you likely haven't heard them quite the way that they appear on Tales of the Unexpected.
