  • After making their debut Australian appearance in January, Boysnoize Records is set to drop back into Australia in late August, hosting shows in Melbourne and Sydney. Shadow Dancer, Djedjotronic and Strip Steve have been named in the initial lineup announcement, with more internationals to join them in the coming weeks. (Rumour has it that, considering the cancellation of his appearance on the first BNR tour, Fred Falke will be making voyage down under, but we'll have to wait and see.) The headliners for now, though, are Shadow Dancer—two Manchester-based brothers that released their debut full-length Golden Traxe earlier this year, and have been enjoying a hefty international touring schedule ever since. Prior to the album's conception, the duo made a name for themselves remixing Chromeo, The Whip and Adam Sky. Boysnoize Records, pioneered by Alex Rhida (AKA Boys Noize), was founded in 2005, and rose to prominence with the 2007 release of Rhida's debut artist-album Oi Oi Oi Carrying the German flag for feedback-drenched electro, BNR has gone on to release material from the likes of Housemeister, Surkin and Frank Martinq, drawing comparisons to Parisian label Kitsuné, and Tiga's Turbo Recordings.
