  • Minimal techno duo Acid Circus will be among the many artists banding together for next weekend's Hi-Fi Space Odyssey in Los Angeles. The party, which is set to go for a mind-bending 22 hours, won't just be a minimal techno fest. Instead, the organizers of the event are set to cater to all manners of techno and house persuasions, enlisting the likes of Tony Watson, Big Cee, Gelly Kusuma, Henry G, and Jojo Baez for the daytime portion and Blakkat live, Acid Circus, Nonfiction, and Dj Lou and G-Dubbs for the night. When asked about why they were throwing such a lengthy shindig, Sacred Grounds' Carlos Baruch answered simply: "Because events like this are taking place all over the world and LA seems to be one of the last places to follow this trend. As one of the longest running house events in LA we feel we can be the leading front runners of this new party-marathon as long as it's done the right way with the right talent behind it." Speaking of the right way, partygoers should be advised to bring their swimming suits: There will be an indoor pool at the warehouse, perfect for those housier daytime sets.
