  • Robert Hood will bring his Minimal Nation launch party to London next Friday. The party will take place at the city's relatively new Cable nightspot, and will be the first Minimal Nation party before Hood takes the trip over to Barcelona the following weekend. Warp's MP3 store Bleep are hosting the bash, and have selected a diverse array of artists to act as the supporting cast for Hood's live performance. Nathan Fake is likely to showcase the harder edge of his sound with one of his live sets, whilst Bristol-based dubsteppers Appleblim and Peverelist will bring their techno-friendly styles to the main room. The second room has more of a focus on the emerging "wonky" scene, with sets coming from Debruit, Floating Points, Bullion and Paul White, whilst Jackson & His Computer Band will also drop in to play a rare DJ set. We're currently running a competition for three pairs of tickets to the launch and two copies of Minimal Nation on CD, so if you fancy heading down to the event, click here to enter.
