  • T In The Park have revealed the acts that will play in the Slam Tent at this year's festival. Glaswegian duo Slam have been hosting the dance stage at the Scottish festival since 1997, and to this day, the Slam Tent remains the country's biggest annual dance music event. The full festival takes place in Balado from July 10-12, but Slam's stage will only be in action on the Saturday and Sunday nights, with 2 Many DJs and Jeff Mills occupying each day's headlining slot. Saturday sees Mr Scruff, Claude VonStroke, Silicone Soul, Felix Da Housecat and Slam themselves joining the Dewaele brothers behind the decks, but there's also a few live acts to get your teeth into if that's more your thing. Laurent Garnier will take to the stage to showcase this year's Tales Of A Kleptomaniac album with his new live band, whilst Beardyman and Green Velvet will both go it alone for their extravagant takes on beatboxing and vocal techno respectively. The Streets, Joris Voorn and Simian Mobile Disco will all play live on the Sunday night, the latter of which will more than likely be previewing tracks from their collaboration-heavy Temporary Pleasure album which is due the month after the festival. And while Dave Clarke, Tiga, Boys Noize, Ben Sims and Funk D'Void complete the dance line-up, '80s synth-pop fans should also note that the Pet Shop Boys are playing a rare Scottish show in King Tut's Wah Wah Tent, also on the Sunday night.
